Lead By Example

In March 2006, parents Amy and Brent Peebles founded the Hamilton Action Team to support their neighborhood school.

While The Hamilton Action Team
continues to grow and thrive,

it is essential to recognize that our objectives trace back to the efforts of HAT's founders.

Amy and Brent Peeble's passionate commitment to Hamilton played a critical role in keeping the school open when it was on the brink of closure in 2009, and the thriving Hamilton we enjoy today is rooted in the community-building, fundraising and volunteer efforts launched under their leadership of HAT.

Each year, during Principal Gray’s tenure at Hamilton, he would recognize excellence in volunteering with the Peebles Award named in their honor.

Parent involvement looks different today because of the precedent that was set during this time. We are proud of our history and hold it dear as we head into the future.
