We have a few changes for the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
ADA Accessible Main Entrance
The main entrance of the school is now ADA accessible. The ADA Poling Place interior and exterior improvements at Hamilton were required by CPS and the US Department of Justice.
Paint Paint Paint
We painted our hallways! We are so excited for our students and families to see our new hallways, second-floor bathrooms, and exterior and interior doors. Some teachers were so excited about the beautiful halls that they painted their own classrooms, too!
Teachers Lounge
This year, Hamilton's teachers and staff are going to have a new space to come together to collaborate, create, and innovate! We also have designed space for teachers to take a break and socialize. The teacher lounge is currently under construction, but will be ready soon!
The New Arts Wings & Stage Improvements
Hamilton's visual arts and music are now on the third floor right next to the stage. We are excited our students will have easier access to performance space. Coming soon... Updates regarding the Create School Funds Dedicated Arts Space Grant. Hamilton was awarded funding through Ingenuity/CPS’ Department of Arts Education. The funds we requested in the grant are for improvements for our stage. Hamilton is working closely with the Capital Planning Department and the CPS Facilities Department as we move our project into the implementation phase.
New Principal Office
If you are looking for Principal Blathras or AP Reyes, you will not find them in their old office - they have moved into a new hall right across the hall from the main office.
