Reframed 2026: CPS Student Art Exhibition

Monday night was a great night for art as CPS celebrated the creativity and talent of young artists through Reframed 2026: CPS Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition featured CPS student artwork installed both inside and outside the Board of Education Chambers, creating a beautiful showcase of student creativity.

Each year, Chicago Public Schools students from across the city submit thousands of works to be considered for the district’s public visual arts exhibitions. These exhibitions provide an incredible opportunity for student achievement in the arts to be elevated and celebrated on a citywide scale.

Reframed represents 23 schools and 28 students from pre-K through 11th grade-a small but intentional selection from both exhibitions, brought together in a new space and seen through a new lens. Each piece demonstrates what is possible when young people are given access to the space, tools, encouragement, and invitation to create.

We are especially proud that three of the 28 featured student artists are Hamilton Elementary students!

Our ArtLab team is beyond proud of our young artists and thrilled to see their creativity and hard work recognized and celebrated.

Way to go, Austin G., Yasa H., and Wells S.! We are so proud of you!

We can’t wait for this year’s exhibition and look forward to continuing to encourage and support our talented artists as they create, share, and shine!
